To The Secondary School Girl

First of all,  I have to apologize to you,  our teenage girls as to what our society is offering you today,  am sorry all you have are gossip blogs and songs that says nothing but body parts,  am sorry that some of you have no aunties to actually discuss with and am sorry that it took me this long to write to you.


In my days we have amazing songs that makes you cry,  we have songs that inspire you e.g, Mariah Carey, Whitney even some Celine Dion,  there were no blogs at the time, but we have hints,  it’s a magazine, it’s like every girl best friend, it talks about love. Life and mostly everything you are experiencing now.

I will have you know this,  this time will be the most memorable time and part of your whole life.  So make it count. Make sure that when you remember and look back to this time it will be just what you want to see. Full of achievements and experiences.

Life isn’t always good,  life isn’t always bad,  you need to find balance. You have to prepare yourself, Just like you prepare for exams,  you have to be ready to face on this world.  Many not so good things will happen,  but it’s not because you are not lucky, it’s just test and exams to make you learn and sharpen you to be better. So welcome life challenges and ride it like the little warriors you are. 
Secondary School is the most important time and most significant. Am sure it doesn’t look like it now, trust me it is.

So you have a crush,  baby girl there are still 1000000000 crushes coming, don’t you want to wait to see those,  so don’t give this one crush your whole, rather focus on what will bring better and handsome Crush in the future.

Your Education, a lady has three must have weapons  to excel in life your Beauty, Your Brain And God Almighty. You can’t have just one it’s meaningless, trust me,  yes if you have God you have everything that’s why the bibles uses words like Strive, work hard,  pursue, fight for.  Meaning if you have God and you don’t work on your self and education you really still have nothing. The 3 will make you valuable, important, Excellent.

It’s not hard to focus on your books, you are just confused with all this phases and you think Mummy won’t understand what you are going through. Mummy was once a girl like you,  you know?  Talk to your mum about your confusions. Most of your confusions are majorly boys, and that never goes away.

Even a 50 year old mum still has boy issues, why do you think Mummy frowns at daddy sometimes. Boys Boys Boys,  at every point of your life there are there, giving you heartache, head ache every other aches.

For something that will always be there, why don’t you keep them somewhere, trust me they will wait,  they are good at at waiting for something they want and have not gotten, you can’t loose him,  he Will always come back.

Now focus on who you wish to be,  how you want to be,  and work towards achieving that,  soon you are off to university to become your own self, but you need to have a plan from now.  organization is key.

Be neat,  take care of yourself, try to be better than you are yesterday. Keep your nails clean, brush your teeth regularly, tidy your hair.  Fold your wardrobe, keep your things.

Remember, focus on important things, even Linda ikeji’s blog  will always be there. Have interest in learning as much as you have interest on what happened to whizkid. Whizkid he’s where he is and going,  where are you going to be.

You guys,  Olamide, Davido and them guys Una too plenty to name,  Remember this youngsters,  and try to write and sing about something they can relate to, like we had,  something they can copy,  something they can hold close to their heart.  Let them meet you some day and they tell you that song of yours kept me going.  That song of yours made me who I am. In every 5 songs please kindly give one to them.  Thank you as God continue to bless your works.

Back to the little women,  It’s time to plan and sketch a better plan for you.  No One can do that for you, even Mummy can only try so much.  Only you can decide who you wish to be and follow through.

If you have no one to talk to,  for a Christian girl, pray,  you don’t always need to kneel down,  lay down close your eyes and tell Daddy (God) everything especially about boys. For a Muslim girls please do the same make Allah (S.W.T) your best friend and just pour your heart.  To the girl with no religion, someone created you in his image, he is your  Creator, I know you are watching this this this I don’t understand help me,  He listens and responds.
