Here’s What The Cast Of Cinderella Would Look Like If It Was A Nigerian Movie
Recently, I got to watch Cinderella, the Disney movie about the young girl who found herself at the mercy of her stepmother and stepsisters after her father’s death.
There were so many things
Nigerian about it but well, I’m sticking with imagining Nigerian
characters playing these roles. So if Nigerian actors were to play
Cinderella, what will it look like?
1. Prince Charming/Prince Kit – Jim Iyke
Obviously,
he just came back from the overseas and he has some white babe but as
per he’s a crowned prince, he can’t marry a white woman. And so, they
have to get a ball looking for a wife for him.
2. Cinderella – Chioma Chukwuka
Because
who else is beautiful all round and can also play a diligent house
girl? No who? She obviously does the dishes, prays to God to help her
and save her from her stepmother and stepsisters.
3. Lady Tremaine – Patience Ozokwor
This
is the perfect person for the job. Who else can come close to Mama G?
Who else will make giving punishments seem so cool and look for whatever
way to frustrate her step daughter for her own good and that of her
daughters? Mama G of course!
4. Anastasia – Angela Okorie
Spoilt, lazy, all what not. Cannot successfully lift do anything by herself. Always looking for a maid to do it all.
5. Drizella – Tonto Dike
As with her sister, lazy too. Will do anything that will make Cinderella get into trouble even if it means telling a lie.
6. The King – Olu Jacobs
Because
the throne has to move from generation to generation and the only way
to achieve that is by having his son get married to secure it all. He’s
pushing for his son to get married to anybody so far she has a good
background.
