Who am I Without You?
Looking back, it feels like my parents were surrogate for you. Like all they had to do is have me.
From the moment I was born, before I was born you had your plans for me.
I got to this world, and you took me to where I have to be, places I must be, people I need to be with.
You taught me so much. You kept guiding me, when am broken and feel like I can’t continue, you give me miracles, you give me reasons to move on, you give me reasons never to give up.
Here I am now, you are still with me, guiding me, loving me, protecting me. In the midst of this I disappoint you, I get Stubborn, I become ungrateful. A lot of times I stray, then I act like I can do it all by myself.
Writing this I laugh, thinking I can do anything on my own, when all I have ever had was you. There is no one else for me.
You have been so tolerant with me, patient even. Even my earthly parents couldn’t deal with me. But you overlook my mistakes and love me regardless of my sins.
Well this day, I will like to say am sorry, for those times I believed in my own understanding, am sorry for thinking am actually anything without you.
This day I will like to say I love you with all of me, with all that I have been, all that I currently am, all I will ever be.
I love you beautifully, like you have shown me countless times.
Having everything without you is like claiming to have the wind, having nothing with you is having everything, because you a God of Abundance, a Fruitful God.
This day, I acknowledged your love, your efforts, your grace, your guidance. I take a moment and just say father Thank You for this wonderful opportunity, to experience this beautiful world you have created.
Thank you for helping me through it, thank you for taking my hand in your hands and leading me.
I this moment re-surrender it all to you. My life is no longer mine but yours.
Give me the Grace to not forget where i am coming from. Give me the Grace to love you more. Help me to know how to impress you everyday.
Thank you for everything Kings of All the Kings that has been and will ever be.
